Lac Qui Parle, a French phrase translated as “Lake that Speaks”, is a special place because the whole lake is a Wildlife Game Refuge and as such is a world renown sanctuary for numerous migratory birds. There are no condos, no lake cabins, no tourist strips around Lac Qui Parle - just natural space and peace of mind. It’s truly a wild goose chase coming out here!

Despite a tumultuous weather week in Western Minnesota, the 2008 Wild Goose Chase 30K Run (18.6 miles) and 30K Relay on August 2nd, ballooned from 52 runners in 2007 to 85 runners in 2008.
